Kirby's Dream Land 2 is my favorite Kirby game of all. Everything about it gives me nothing but pure joy! To begin with, I love all of the different abilites that Kirby can aquire throughout the game. They all give the gameplay a varied sense that makes it all a blast to play. Especially once you find one of Kirby's animal friends, but I'll get into that a bit later. The music/sound in this game is wonderful! All of the tunes are still stuck in my head, from the song that plays for Rick to the theme of the Red Canyon. And the sounds. Simple boinks and bleeps that fit Kirby so well, from the whizz of the cutter to the sound that he makes when he hits the ground after a jump. The levels are wonderful. I get a kick out of traveling through all of the different enviornments and seeing all of the wonderful hidden surprises. That brings me to the Rainbow Drops, which are deceptively hard to find. It certianly may be tough to find them at first, but any dedicated Kirby fan is more than up to the task! And finally, Kirby's friends. Rick, Kine, and Coo! They all make their debut in this game, and it's great to see them. Especially once you figure out all of the wonderful ways that they alter Kirby's abilites, from the way that Kine shoots light bulbs to the snowman that Rick forms. And they add a sense of suspense to the game every time that you run into one of the propeller enemies that are their natural enemies. This is still my favorite Kirby game after all of these years, and if you can manage to find a copy of it, I'm sure that it will become yours!
