This game needed a lot more work. First off, the game was HARD. I was playing on the easiest level of difficulty and I found myself swearing at the screen at times. For a game that's rated E, a lot of children are going to become upset when they have trouble completing the SECOND level.
Second, the storyline was exhausting. I felt that the writer ran out of ideas and tried to come up with quick and sudden scenarios where Knack was put into a dire situation. That's annoying. It's like, "OH, I'm about to beat the game!"
"Think again, homie. I'm here to F*** S*** up again." -Evil Goblin
There needed to be a point where Knack wasn't chasing the Goblins in the game for AT LEAST 5 minutes.
Third, the visuals were actually pretty impressive--but on an art-style that holds a childish look--most people would probably disagree with me.
One of the creators is already thinking about creating a sequel. I've got news for him--if he wants a successful sequel, he needs to make the game darker--progressively harder throughout gameplay, and slowly leave this type of art-style. Unfortunately, it's not going to get you anywhere.
