I honestly don't understand why this game didn't leave Japan when it was first available in the 1990's. This video game is a perfectly good, flying shooting game. The 16 bit graphics are beautiful, the music is good, the sound is good, and the controls are good. Granted, the game really starts to get challenging from the third stage onward; and is the type of game where bringing a friend will help you both out to not die as much. But while the game is difficult, it kind of makes up for the fact that the reason this video game isn't ranked higher than it is; is because the game is relatively short! There are only six stages total in this game, with the last stage basically being a boss only fight! That being said, this video game is similar to a video game that DID make it to the United States; "U.N. Squadron" (known in Japan as "Area 88"). That's because before you begin each stage, depending on how many enemy fighters you shot down; and whether or not you saved any bombs that you began each stage with; you'll have money to spend on your type of laser, your secondary type of attack, and any money left over will buy you the maximum amount of bombs that you can get, depending on which type of bomb you choose. My advice for playing this game, pick the hyper laser, homing shot, and either napalm bombs or big bombs to tackle each stage. While this game doesn't last too long, it's still a good, challenging flying and shooting game. And it's even more fun with a friend. Try it for yourself and see how high of a score you can earn! Enough said, true believers!
