To buy this game cheap in insult to the developers who made it since a game like this only comes once every 5 years.
You play as "cole phelps" a variation of positions in L.A.P.D that require detection and subtle processes to cure the plague in 1940's depression, drugs, fast cars, suicides, over doses, post war widows, rich and glamorous lives, and the seedy under world that made the 1940's a time to look back on. Noire is a
french term for "black" or a seedy underworld of "la" that depicts the intentions of people.
Game play:
L.a noire is rich living world that conflicts in both ways, story and game play! and vise versa,
Most games today simply follow THE main story and becomes unrelated to the environment, but in this game every things linked in the most astonishing way while this game incorporates "grand theft auto 4" from cafes that really have no use but seem to be there shouldn't be looked at in negative way, it just means a lot of thoughtfulness went in to create a replica of los angeles, but as mentioned la noire becomes absorbing and as each case is based on real life historical events that took place in 1940's you feel intrigued to solve a case in what ever way you wish. set a murderer free, show people who only wish to help that they are suspects when they probably not making every one assume your moron, and having the chief of police cry that you as "detective" abuses a role on how to abuse the power of working for the lapd. While this game is ground breaking it opens a new path in gaming that will make the future of games a masterpiece.
Graphics:
L.A. Noire=black is meticulously crafted with every detail in mind no floor or hinder was subtracted from this game, facial recognition pushes boundaries that could possibly change how a celebrity finds a job in tomorrows world. wouldn't that be horrible i mean no game based of any movies, just made form scratch like for example heavy rain 2 with georg clooney as star???? now i for one am not ready for that? while trying to determine if some one is lying in interview, interrogation, or arrest you can observe their facial features to see if they are lying cute feature.
Sound quality:
Outstanding with authentic sounds from forensic searches, car chases, rain, recorded voice dialogue has blown me away. tho you will incur the annoying pedestrian that will frequently quote you on your past present or recommendations that lead up to cases, they can be really annoying that can impact the game depending how you look at it.

Wonderful world to be absorbed in, the most authentic recreation of 1940's,marvelous car physics, graphical power house, addictive story recreated form real life events, interesting side quests, be good cop or bad cop based on story progression, so many cars to collect that you would assume are these cars premium for dlc only, nope ready to use when you want for free like the black phantom, I could go on for ever quoting the gorgeousness of this game, the ability to sit on anything interact with seat for no logical reason makes resting in cafe or lunch bar feel like a memorable screen saver, this was not incorporated in "red dead redemptions mutli-player" sad but least somethings improved, the ability too switch transition from left to right side, mandatory for all games this feature but many games today fail to incorporate this feature that can really hinder the experience of a game.
Cons:
Well i for one don't mind it but while finding pigeons in grand theft auto 4 was a nightmare you would question who would find all those pigeons is i worth it, same for la noir while some are interesting like badge of persuit that seems with in reason and fun to obtain only 20 at each land mark, it's the gold reels 50 you must find that become living nightmare chances of finding them are impossible when starting out! some you will aquire along the way some you might not,

The simplicity no game has manifested it's self in quite a way like(la noire) rich beyond the joke graphics that really justify the love the passion these developers gave for this game,
This game is a high breed combination "csi" "heavy rain"" and "gta" 90 percent of the source engine is from rock stars code but not made by rock star only published, speculations are even rumors state "team bonidi" and "rockstar" may have made a deal behind closed doors about future indevours on gta 5.
yes it's true the boss of " team bondi" made the previous series of (getaway) for the ps2 but postponed the trailer that was announced for getaway 3 as in development but was later cancelled, speculations and rumors are told it could come out, but the (la noire) became the back bone and was later released 4 years later.
While'st was in development since 2007 possibly dating back to 2004 future delays postponed la noire. While (team bondi) and (rockstar studios) are not affiliated in any way apart form the developer tools that went in to making "la noire" owned by rock star studios does not mean they are owned by rock star, yes they are a new breed that have become recognized with in the gaming industry but not under "rockstars logo" that's about it.
This games worth 100$ to buy this cheap is insult to developers.
