Ok picture GTO (Grand theft auto) but with less Mayhem and the setting is in the 1940's. Your a young detective solving crimes mostly murders. There is not that much shooting which I thought at first was going to be boring. But I was completely wrong I very much enjoyed playing the game. Figuring out who lying and who is the prime suspect. I wished it was it was in the 2000's instead of the 1940's. Graphics are off the hook...I was amazed on how the characters facial expressions were. I believe they used this new technology called MotionScan, where actors are recorded by 32 surrounding cameras to capture facial expressions from every angle. That's crazy! Every game should use this. And for L.A Noire being the fist game that used it is great! 2 thumbs up to ya! Another great feature I liked was the way the utilize your characters Notebook. Flawless animation and it goes well with the game. You will use this notebook for just about everything. and comes in handy when your stuck and not sure what to do. All in all this is a great game and great story. Didn't really like the ending too much but it doesn't ruin the whole game.
