LA Rush, such a dissapointment.
Now, the PS2 version looks horrid, I mean, bad.Bright colors, jagged edges. The VIDEO looks fine, I dont show me something that nice then give me a broke-down version to play. lol. But on the Box, it looks fine. Damage to the cars is nice, and it does have a few cool features, reminicante of Burnout. It does have a pretty face to it and like I said it's HUGE but when you get down to the blood and guts of this game it really falls flat on it's face. The races aren't much fun. The "pimp my ride" thing is just dumb. And the controls feel like they're trying to be a hybrid of simulation and arcade controls. One second you're making a hard , Grand turismo style of turn, then your pulling Burnout type crashes. The two obviously dont work well together. The storyline is okay, But totally unbelievable. And the suppose-ed drama scenes feel fake and washed over. Oh, and another thing, if there are people walking around. LET ME HIT THEM. I hate it when I'm going 130 and somehow an 85 year old lady dives out of the way. And when I total my car, dont just refresh it, leave it damaged, make me fix it. What's the use of putting damage on the car if it's just gonna look exactly the same if I slam into a building at 100mph. Sorry to keep bringing new things up, but why do I get NOS if I drive through a red dot?!?!?! MAKE ME BUY IT!
Okay, my ranting is done. LA Rush is just an okay game. If you wanna try somthing other than MC3 or NFSU, This is an okay pick. But if this is your first look into this genre, look past LA Rush, at least until you master MC3 and NFSU2.
