I have to admit I am not a fan of first person shooters. I got this game based on the name before I realized it was a first person shooter. I played this game dispite the bad reviews and I have to say its not so bad. Basically you play a farmer who has to fight his way thru zombies to get to fiddler's green. You start the game with a standard rifle (which has little or no power) then you get different weapons as you progress thru the game. Basically you move from scene to scene trying to get closer to your goal, picking up weapons and ammo. One of the problems I have with the game is the amount of zombies. Sometimes its very easy and then sometimes its way too hard. The zombies come in waves and if you do not hit them in the head its very hard to kill them. Especially when you have a weak weapon. The graphics are nothing special and the music oh well.. Sounds play a part in the game because zombies normally make a lot of noise. It kind of gives you some advance warning that they are coming. Another problem is that the control in the game is pretty bad when it comes to close quarters. If the zombies get close to you its hard to hit them without constantly backing up. There are times where there is health all over the place and then there are times when there is nothing. No health no ammo nothing and you are walking around without just a knife. A common gripe I have with games like this is that you would think the control would be better. The whole first person shooter relys on good control. This game surprisingly does not have good control which leads to levels of frustation. There is nothing worse than shooting a zombie 4 times to only have him bite you and kill you because the control is a little off. There is a sniper scene which is difficult and tends to be frustrating. The uneven level play tends to make the game unfun at times especially when you get almost to the end of a board only to face an endless wave of zombies. The name of the game here is gun power which is bad because the ammo for the powerful weapons are scarce. I have to say this game at times could be fun but then there are the times when you want to throw the game and the xbox out of the window. Its those times that makes this game not worth a purchase unless you can get it in the bargain bin. Its pretty old now so IF you can find it it should be cheap but be forewarned. There are parts of this game that can be very frustrating and that can lead to you wanting to end playing this game and the end to the game is at best horrible. If you like good mindless zombie killing without anything special this game is for you.
