This feels like a walking sim.

User Rating: 5 | Last Stop XBSX

Last Stop is in tune with what Telltale games are in which it is a largely narrative-driven game that tells a linear plot with moral choices sporadically happening throughout. Sadly, It features only a fraction of the effort as the game is largely a shallow, "walking" game where you go from A to B, have a small conversation, rise, and repeat. This isn't a slight against the story, which I thought was interesting enough, but that can only carry you so far when your game is clearly lacking in other key areas.

Visually, The game is fine for the most part. The animations of the characters' faces can be quite off-putting at times and looking almost laughably bad, especially when they're trying to express emotion. There are also noticeable bugs throughout the game that happen far more frequently than they should. For a game that is so basic, This should be one area where the game thrives in and it doesn't.

I also wasn't a fan of how clearly tacked on the quick time events were in this game. Such as needing to run faster by pressing the left and right buttons or having to use the thumbsticks to stir your tea or eat food. What is the actual heck is this? I genuinely feel that this was added just to make it feel like you are actually doing something in this game rather than simply moving your character down the linear path just to hit the next piece of conversation or cutscene.

Overall: 5/10
Is the story good? Sure, It's just everything else about this game that is clearly lacking. There could and should have been far more depth to this.
