A highly addictive Game! Amazing Multiplayer, Extremely fun and rewarding! Gamespot...I'm speechless really!
Now that's out of the way, I will put another point across; to DOTA players who so ignorantly assume that this game is not for true DOTA players, I'm actually laughing at these remarks. Since this game is based around Defence of the Ancients (WARCRAFT 3 mod game). I introduced this game to 3 DOTA veterans, who play on almost world class level, and they were, to be fare, very sceptical. Nonetheless, at this point every one of them is LEVEL 30(max level) and they play this on daily basis, without even a look back on DOTA. Their words; '' this game is a next step, a joy, an improvement a bit different which is refreshing and definitely tones of fun''. And is continuously improving and growing.
League of Legends can be very challenging especially at higher levels, the gameplay is VERY team oriented and you gain an extreme satisfaction once your team is victorious and destroys your opposing team's base. IF this doesn't appeal to you then don't bother testing this, however, even so I still strongly recommend testing it. Easy Download, quick install, straightforward log in, simple tutorial and you're in at level 1 with beginners like yourself. The community is probably as best as you can get, and by that I mean, yes you can get prickss, where in the world you don't? But overall you play along other people who are looking to enjoy this game. You will find that the community is very friendly, and you will notice people adding you to their friends list in no time after each battle (if you play reasonably well and isn't a total idiot to others). No matter which server you play on EU, or US. Very easy to get into game, straightforward and responsive controls, quick shortcuts, with which you become accustomed to instantly. Fun Heroes, colourful graphics, suitable for this gamestyle, and fast paced once the battle commences.
All in all, I won't go into further detail, and will not make comments on Gamespot's appalling review of this true classic of a game. It's a great game to try out with your friends. A time killer and tones of FUN! Try it! Enjoy it! see you in the Arena!
