Reviewing the game, not the company...

User Rating: 9 | Left 4 Dead 2 X360
If you heard that this game is everything you hoped the first one would be, you would be pretty much correct. If you pull away all the negative bias you may have for this game before playing it, due to the fact that this game was barely released a year from the original, you'd find that not only is this game more accessible, but it's superior in every way.

Therefore, don't look at the company and say "this company is ripping me off" when you review the game. Valve is a private corporation and they make products and they have consumers. They made a product they believed they could sell to the public, and I believe they did a fine job. They have no true or legal obligation to make and distribute products to your standards, whatever they may be. You are not forced to purchase anything as a video game is a piece of entertainment, not a physical or mental need. Therefore you have the choice not to purchase it. However, if you are wanting to make a statement against the company's ethics, that is absolutely acceptable, as everyone is entitled to a opinion. But don't let those opinions obstruct your judgement in the quality of the actual game.

Still, if you have any doubts about this game, erase them, especially if you have never purchased or played the original.

Pros
+ 5 new campaigns have lots of personality and replayability
+ New AI director is improved and does more than direct the AI (weather, pathways etc)
+ Characters dialog is improved
+ New game modes add more competition and replayability
+ Added variants of weapons and melee arsenal increase strategy
+ New "boss infected" variants force you to rethink strategy and make older, "cheaper" strategy defunct

Cons
- Poor teammates can obstruct enjoyment (cannot emphasize that enough)
- Team AI is occasionally not effective
