Left 4 Dead 2. The Australian version. Featuring 5 new campaigns, 3 new special infected, and a whole lot of censoring.
Campaigns. These are great to play by yourself, and even better with a friend. The stupid AI can be irritating sometimes, but don't ruin the experience. Each campaign takes about and hour to complete. It may seem a bit short, but that's where the director comes in. Every time you play, the director detects how you're playing and places zombies accordingly. Basically every time you play, you have the same maps, but different experiences. This game was also made for coop. If you play with the AI, the often try to revive you whilst being attacked, so you just fall straight back down again, and they will often run into your line of fire. But nothing game-breaking here. A save feature would have been a welcome addition, but is still not here.
Story. Virtually non-existent, though I assume this is by design. There are zombies. Kill them. That's pretty much it. Though the characters are hilarious. Especially Ellis. He is a bogan that just raves on about anything, like Jimmy Gibbs Jr., goats, or Kiddy Land.. And Coach is also pretty damned funny sometimes too.
Multiplayer. Wow. Multiplayer in this game is so great. I love being special infected. You basically play through the campaign, but with sh** loads of special infected. It's so great to be a hunter, and jump from rooftop to rooftop and finally pounce on your prey, ripping them to shreds. It's very hectic being the humans. You have special infected coming at you about every 5 seconds, you will rarely make it to the end of each campaign alive.
Censorship. I really wish that Valve had taken some more time to censor this game for Australia and Germany. Instead they just cut everything. No more decapitation, limb dismemberment, wound detail, etc. When you kill a zombie, they just fall to the ground and disappear. And hardly any blood comes out, and it no longer splatters on the wall, which I really like in the first game. Also, when you throw a pipe bomb, or any other kind of explosive for that matter, the zombies disappear just before the explosion. They screwed up the special ammo a lot too. Zombies cannot catch on fire any more. Well they do, you just can't see the fire. When you shoot a zombie with incendiary ammo they just start waving their arms in the air and going crazy like when you poison someone in Assassin's Creed 2. And explosive ammo is just ridiculous now. You shoot a zombie with and they just disappear. They don't fade out, there's not explosion, they just instantly disappear. Just great.
