Not what I expected or what it was made out to be!
Personally, I found this game to be quite disappointing and boring because it not only lacks the "Scare/Creep Factors" that other games of this genre have, it is entirely too fast paced.
This game borders "Coin Operated Arcade Style Slaughter 'Em All" games. Basically, that is all it is, a "Start shooting at anything and everything that moves game" and the fact that your team-mates don't even take damage from your accidents is a joke.
The ridiculous "Hordes" are far too many and, anyone who has seen as many "Zombie" movies as I have would know, there just aren't that many "Horde" attacks unless you walk into them.
The only reason I rated this game a 5 is for its graphics, close quartered combat, and gore-factor.
The way I see it... this game could have been created with a much better imagination. It is too "Resident Evil Ripoff". The Hunters, the Licker-style attack, I mean Come On Now!
This game could have also benefited from a few more movement actions like the ability to "Peak" around a corner with the E and Q keys.
The Co-op game-play also leaves little to be desired because the only way anyone could ever survive this sort of situation would be to have better communication ability as though you were standing right there in real life. Console commands and "Chat" do not work in this situation... it just isn't fast enough.
Also, in a real life situation, most people would have a better idea of how to survive... with 4 people, you each take a "Quarter" of the circle, stand back-to-back, and ONLY shoot at what is coming at YOU. The single player mode allows the team-mates to shoot anywhere there is an enemy, which sometimes means right through your head.
This game is definitely NOT worth the original price... I am glad I waited for it to go down to $20... and still, it isn't worth that.
No way to save your game is also a big downfall...
To think about it now, I am sorry I gave it a 5 but I am feeling "Nice" today.
