A well designed RPG that will keep you hooked for a very long time.

Legacy for Zodiac/Palm OS is a classic RPG full of exploration and action. You start off as an alone adventurer in the forest with a tip of someone being able to help you in a near by town for your quest. At this point you know nothing of your character , and just of your quest. This tends to stay constant throughout the game. Legacy has a good overall story, but it completely lacks character development. Your starting character as well as other characters who can be hired in bars can be easily sold and traded. This in my opinion, is one of the greatest weakness of the game.

On the other hand, the overall story is interesting, and there are MANY side quests. The game will take you 50 to 100 hours to complete depending on how many side quests you complete. In addition to this, additional quests and a quest editor can be purchased.

During your quest you will encounter many different people and creatures. You will run into everything from giant spiders to amazon warriors. There are also just as many areas to explore containing these characters.

The gameplay starts of simplistic, with just tapping on "attack" and hitting your enemy. As the game goes on and you gain other members in your party and learn magic the complexity and thought into the battle system increases.The difficulty of battles are tough from the begining. There is no "rest" option, so in order to heal your party you must use potions or stay the night at an inn, both of which cost money. Legacy also contains a complete mini-game within its self which is accessable by visiting bars.

Legacy also contains many puzzles. In the begining the puzzles are relativly simple, but as the game progresses the difficulty increases greatly. Some puzzles will have you running to forums for help, or at least taking a day break.

The graphics of Legacy are well done, with every respect to detail. The sounds could have been improved a little, but overall are not bad. Legacy is tough and challege to play. It's also a well designed and will last you for very long time on just playing the main Quest will all its side quests. It's a definite buy for all Zodiac and Palm gamers.
