"What was a king to do?"
Once you get past the confusion, the LOK series has a very indepth story, hard to come by in most action games these days.
Defiance brings together the blood lust hunting of Kain, and the soul stealing charms of Raziel, finally together in one game, both as playable characters.
The combat engine of the game is fairly simple, but when mastered can make for some pretty dramatic battles. You travel around the world of Nosgoth (continuing) to try to peice together the mysteries of the great puzzle that is the Wheel of Fate. be advised, this game is heavily laden with philisophical reference which may be unappealing to some.
My only real complaint with the game was that for as long as it is, it's still a fairly easy game to beat and master.
If you're a fan of action games with little story and lots of fighting,,,well this game isn't for you. If you like your action games to have plenty of fighting on top of an off the wall, highly indepth storyline, then LOK Defiance is sure to please.
However, if you have ever played any of the LOK games and didn't care for them, Defiance is not going to change your mind in any way.
