Where do I begin? Well for starters, LoK: Soul Reaver is the most immersive and gripping video game for PS, possibly the best game ever on any platform. The lore is top-knotch, in fact a vast majority of this game and its sequels is comprised of long and epic cut scenes. During its initial release, SR was somewhat of a cult hit, many found the puzzles and length too complex. Needless to say, the brutal horror-fantasy setting and characters have all seemed to spring right out of an Ann Rice novel. Gameplay is amazing, graphics were top-knotch for the time, and the soundtrack is of the goth techno variety that stays with you for years to come. I can only hope that Eidos releases yet another title in this epic franchise, and continues the legacy that was initiated with this riducously underrated classic.
