A noteworthy adventure that shouldn't be missed.

User Rating: 8.5 | Legend of Kay PS2
A friend of mine whom lives in the UK first introduced me to this title. From what I looked at in the screenshots, it looked kind of interesting. I was hoping that it would be slated for a US release, and thanks to Capcom, it made it's way over here. I picked it up, and got immersed in the storyline. It's a really enticing story about Kay, the main character learning to become a warrior in order to save his people and his homeland from evil gorillas and rats.

I really liked the gameplay in this. While not revolutionary, it's still addictive none-the-less. After you defeat an enemy, you trigger a "Combo" mode that allows your attacks to become stronger as you defeat more enemies. There are three weapons in the game: a sword, a pair of claws, and a hammer, all of which can be upgraded as you progress. The puzzle solving in the game is challenging, though fairly easy to master. There are some moments where you get to ride animals like boars and wolves. I wasn't too fond of these but I still enjoyed them.

I had to take points off sound because of the voice acting. It's not the best in the world, but one could easily look past all that.

In the end, if you love adventure games, you'll love Legend of Kay. I haven't had this much fun with an adventure game since Tail Concerto.
