Addictive and cathartic with a fun cast of characters.

Ok, so it's not a particularly challenging game. And yes, the vehicle controls can be a tad annoying at times. But geez I had fun playing this. As a long-time Batman fan and lover of the DC universe, this was just a whole lot of fun for me.

With 15 levels, and some of them being quite involved and long, its good value for money. The Free Play mode is great fun too as you start unlocking all the different heroes and villains - playing as particularly obscure DC characters is a hoot!

After a hard day at work, its surprisingly cathartic to work your way through levels smashing objects and collecting as much coin as possible. I've played other Lego games but found this the most compelling to complete to 100% and unlock all achievements.

And with 2 small kids in the house, it's great to have a fun game you can play in front of them without giving them nightmares. In fact my 3.5 year old cut his gaming teeth on this game and we had a lot of fun playing it together.

I think Gamespot has been a bit harsh on their review...this game is just plain fun, a great family game and deserves a bit more credit than just 'Fair'.
