Here we go, another lego game.... Why am I playing this one again.
And I tried this one out for Kicks. AND I'VE GOT MAJOR ISSUES WITH IT!
This is a co-op style beat em up with platforming and puzzle elements added in the mix. Imma gonna start with the beat em up portion. Nothing new, just mash 1 button and win. Amazing. Then comes the platforming. Tedious. This game has annoying platforming. Seeing that I was playing this game because my 9 year old brother rented it, I was surprised that this game wasn't easier (Seriously, isn't 10 year olds the target audience, and my brother has been playing games since he was 3). And here comes the Co-Op. This game has ridiculously annoying portions where both players are attempting to deal with the game's annoying gripes, and get mad at each other for it. Seriously, I attempted playing with somebody else to see if it was just my dynamic with my partner. After 4 minuets, we were already mad at each other. Last of all comes the puzzles. WHAT IS THIS! I DON'T WANNA LOOK IN EVERY ITEM ON THE MAP FOR 1 STUPID KEY! This game has lots of puzzles, which apparently means..... hide stuff where nobody can find them. Like in a generic wall panel, or behind a rock so you can't see it. AND IT TAKES ABOUT 15 MINS JUST TO FINISH THEM SOMETIMES! And it doesn't end there. While you are looking for the elusive item, the game sends out a squad of annoying bad guys, every 15 seconds. So maybe you are looking for the item, and you are getting nowhere.... You wanna destroy every place it could be.... GOOD LUCK TRYING TOO WITH 5 GUYS ATTACKING YOU EVERY FEW SECONDS, WHILE YOU EITHER ARGUE WITH YOUR TEAMATE, OR YELL AT THE DUMB AI!
Don't get this if you like Batman. Go buy Arkam Asylum. Don't get this if you like Lego. Go find a copy of something cool, like lego racers. And if you like both.... BUY ARKAM ASYLUM AND LEGO RACERS, BUT NOT THIS!
