disappointing

im a huge batman fan and to get my fix of batman before arkham asylum comes out next year i decided to play lego batman. Bad idea. the game does not stay true to batman at all. robin is turne into a blundering idiot with costumes like magnet boots and a vacuum cleaner. Sorry i missed that issue with robin wielding his vacuum. Batman is represented better than robin some of his alternate costumes are so ridiculous like the one where he is red and smiling. The villians are also very campy especially taking one of my favorite villains Clayface and turning him into an idiot like robin. i dont know why they need to make some characters idiots? for humor? well i dont find it funny. If this wasn't bad enough, the gameplay is a snore. the henchman are so easy that after fighting about a dozen it becomes a chore to fight. The bosses aren't good either. they consist of two parts. first solve a "puzzle" to make the boss vulnerable then hit them. it makes for a really annoying fight. the game isnt all bad though. the vehicle parts are generally a fresh part of the gameplay and the graphics are good for a lego game. by far the best part of the game is the soundtrack because of the nostalgia factor because it is ripped right from the batman animated series. If you are under the age of 10 i recommend this game to you just as long as someone teaches you that robin is really not an idiot. if you are over 10 and you want to play a game that feels like a chore at times and is an inaccurate portrayl of batman then have fun.
