Lego pirates of the caribbean is funny and addictive. There are a few flaws though...

First off, it's basicly the same as any other lego game. You solve puzzles, collect coins, ect. The story is true to the actualy film, although lego does add a few laughs in. For extra fun, I reccomend playing with a 2nd player. The combat is fun, the moving while slashing your sword, is great.

The graphics are great. One thing that bothers me is the puzzles. Sometimes, you will get stuck and the game offers no help. You'll be there for 15 minutes and when you figure out what to do you'll think "Wow that was so simple". As you play the game you figure out what needs doing by yourself. For example, a green lego brick on the floor, generally means something needs to go on top of it.

Another thing is a few times, my characters have become stuck and i need to redo the level as I can't get them out. This happens rarely though. Also, I do not feel the game is long enough to say there is 4 films in it. I finished the story within 12 hours. Then again, you need to go back so you can collect you gold bricks and minikits.

Gamespot shoudn't have given this a 6.5. A must buy for people who like the Pirates of the Caribbean series.
