Excellent!!!

User Rating: 9.1 | LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game GBA
i bought this game for my son ( five years old) so i really didn't expect much. but i was happy to find that the GBA is a great port for this game. The play level seems easy at first, but to actually finish the game with all of the death star pieces is very challenging and leads to an addictive quality about this game ... as you unlock new characters in the free play mode the player is able to access new areas of the maps that contain the additional pieces of the death star ... this quality makes the game very playable and replayable ... graphics are good considering that the game is on the GBA ...game play is very staright forward and easy to master ... sound is excellent and has all of your favorite star wars music ... this is a great game for the collection especially if you're a star wars fan.
This is an excellent game for kids … the violence has been minimalized for the combination of these franchises. Star Wars, the huge Lucas saga, combined with a child’s favorite toy is an excellent combination for an interesting video game. The game play is simple and I especially enjoy using the jedi stomps on the adversaries. Each character has a unique ability that is helpful at some point in the game. Environments and enemies are varied. Graphics are good … the sound of Star Wars music can’t be beat … and my reviewer’s tilt is high because I enjoy Star wars stuff … the story line sticks pretty close to the three movies and it’s easy to understand without the player needing to read because there are just visual representations of the story between levels instead of the usual subtitles. This factor makes the game appealing to even very young children. Reviewer’s tilt is also high because my kid really likes this game. So I bought it for GBA, PC and PS2. The game is a bit harder on the GBA. That’s because the player doesn’t respawn automatically when killed. The GBA version you have so many lives and you can collect hearts, but when you die in the GBA version you’re dead and start the level over again. For this reason the GBA version is a bit more challenging to a child. The game is short on all ports but seems a bit longer on the GBA. The value rating on this game is low though because it is a very expensive game for the GBA and anything with Star Wars right now seems pricey. This is a pretty cool game the way the two areas of interest collided to create an interesting and entertaining Star Wars title.
