A cute game definetly better than those get rich quick kiddie games. Make no mistake it's worth $20

Let me start by saying I hate star wars but on T.V I saw a review of it and it got a 4 out of 5 but because I hated star wars I shoved it aside. A year later I have some extra cash in my pocket and I decide to buy it since as there aren't that many other interesting games out. It's a good thing I did because it was worth it.

I love the game, it blends mindless stupidity with solid graphics, sound and gameplay. I mean i figured it would be ok but not great, but lego proved me wrong. So many of the things in this game makes it great.

The gameplay is great but not perfect. Basically your lightsaber is all you need to block and attack. The force is really only for puzzles because you'll get hit when using the force otherwise. You only can use the force and yyour lightsaber but theres nothing wrong with that. Sometimes you can find yourself though constantly pressing square.

The game's A.I is very good but it still lacks in certain factors. If your partner is a jedi then he will never attack your opponent/s instead he will just block. I say he because there are no woman jedi. When you have a cpu with a blaster on the otherhand he/she will attack but usually not in succession. On occasion the A.I acts so intuetively though you feel as if your actually playing with anthoer person.

There are dozens of characters to unlock and it will keep you busy. As many as there are to unlock you might have wanted certain characters that are just not simply there. For the ones that are there will undoubtedly keep you satisfied. When at Dexter's Diner (the place where you go before or after missions) just looking at all of them seems funny. For example when in the parking lot of Dexter's Diner if Darth Maul and Obi-wan are within range of each other they insticntively fight each other.

Being able to free play every level after you finish them makes it easy for you to get the things you didnt get from the level before. The co-op is good nothing wrong with that either but more co-operative parts in levels could've been put in. There is a massive amount of puzzles and many get increasingly harder in the later levels.

Bosses are also here which is a very nice addition and no boss fight is frustrating either. The difficulty ranges, boss levels are usually harder than regular levels. Each level is usually balanced with some very funny extras. Such as aliens dancing on a disco to a remixed version of the star wars anthem.

The graphics are clear nothing exactly special with them but then again that is the problem. The graphics as crisp as the look none of the levels, characters, or vehicles look particularly stunning. If your looking for a graphically beutiful game this isn't one but it's not ugly in no way.

The sound is the most notable thing about the game. There are truly no characters that talk except for certain droids but you can hear how much of a star wars game it really is. The lightsaber sounds as well as the blasters really make the sound inpressive.

For $20 this game is undoubtedly worth it. The value is highest point of the game but that doesn't truly take away from the other aspects of the game. For a game this good I'd pay even more than $20.

Star Wars has appealed to all from kids to adults and so on. With the installment of lego star wars nothing has changed. As childish as this game may seem it will definetly appeal to all star wars fans. With Star Wars growing ever popular Lego Star Wars has earned it seat as a respectable game with talent and idea to match.
