A nice simple golf game.
The game has a quick mode that lets you play three random holes, a free play mode and a tournament mode.
The swing is a three button affair.
There are four courses and four characters to choose from.
You can disable the in game music.
You may get more bang for your buck with Tiger Woods or Hot Shots but for me, I'm not a fan either of those game series.
The Tiger Woods games seem to be boring, sure you may have a ton of courses but just how many courses does a person need? And I'm tired of EA pumping out a new game every year and expecting people to buy it - at some point people have to say enough is enough and just not buy them anymore.
As for Hot Shots, I've played the series on the PS2 and tried the PSP demo but for some reason the game rubs me the wrong way, the cartoon aspect and on screen clutter detracts from the gameplay.
The thing I liked most about this game is that it's fun - you now, the reason you play video games in the first place.
If you're a diehard golf fanatic and want to be able to create your own player or have a bunch of courses available, take a pass on this game but if you want a simple, clean, fun golf game on your PSP (and PS3), this game will do nicely.
And for perspective, the last golf game that I really really liked was Jack Nicklaus 6 Golden Bear Challenge on the PC.
