LittleBigPlanet: for any online player who wants something a little different

User Rating: 8.5 | LittleBigPlanet PS3
LittleBigPlanet is a great game that accomplishes exactly what it sets out to do: act as a way for players to create and show off. The game is all about creativity. You can customize your playable sackperson to be just about anything you want. You can customize his "pod" (it's like his house). You can even make levels for other players to try out.
The thing about this game is that it's not a lot of fighting, it's more exploration. There are lots and lots of levels to play with more being created all the time. As long as you don't tire of the game's base mechanics, you won't get bored.
Now for my problem with the game: the community. This is certainly not the developer's fault, but the game's online community isn't pumping out as many good levels as bad right now. There are a lot of boring levels to play through online before you find a real gem, and although those great levels are in there, it can be frustrating to dig through pages and pages of levels to find one worth playing.
In conclusion, LBP is a great game. It's not exactly a hardcore gamer type of thing, though. It's a very casual experience that lets you play around with your friends and create whatever you want. There are a lot of people who say "no, it's just not for me." I was one of them. But trust me, this is a game too good to just pass up, especially if you have somebody else to enjoy it with. It's really surprising how much fun it is.
And if you get the game after reading this, look me up: sdsr5
