Fantastic novelty of a game. Just be sure to have a fast PC (If you use one). It's definitely worth a try
For the first two levels I was convinced that I was running around in a frozen wasteland, representing the last of humanity fighting for survival, and only until level 4 (or so...) did I realize that I was being exploited against my will to prevent NEVEC from terra-forming E.D.N. III.
Regardless, this game is a fantastic, if not short, 3rd person shooter, even as I cringed along on my 2.6GHz computer, I was wildly entertained by the grapple, and by the 'crazy critters' I fought with a variety of weapons─from Chainguns to Energy rifles. The "mechs" (Vital Suits) available to you, from time to time, weren't as immersive for me, and ruined the general atmosphere of the game, but certainly it shouldn't be counted as a strong negative.
I do recommend this game, but I recommend it for console over PC, unless of course you have an 'insanely fast' machine.
