I usually don't play games that don't have a strong background story. However to enjoy Lucky's Tale I didn't feel the need to have a strong narrative plot and storyline simply because when you are in VR, just the fact of being present in that world is enough to mesmerize you. I felt as if I was in Disneyland: the music, the colors, the atmosphere come together to build a solid glimpse of what VR can do for the future of gaming. Sure, there is room for improvement, we are only at the beginning of a beautiful virtual revolution.
I give it a 10 out of 10 because it is an Essential game if you want to understand what VR can bring to the gaming community. (reviewed on DK2)
