Not As Good As The Older Game In The Series, But Not Bad Either.
I had no idea what to expect from this lufia title but it did surprised me a lot, especially the job system.
Graphics - Nice and clear, good graphics overall. there are protraits of characters which changes to show their moods. then there are detailed dungeons and nice towns and backgrounds along with good enemy sprites. moreover there is enough detail in the in-battle graphics that no one would feel that its not good. it has done a good job in graphics section as everything is good enough to be called good. though the only bad thing is the lack of weapon details.
Sound - Good. nothing like annoying or repetitive themes. sound effects are good and the background music is also good. overall there are good tunes and nothing to get irritated. its decent.
Gameplay - Its hard. the puzzles are really annoying at most times, so one can get hard times with it let alone the leveling system which makes it harder to gain levels quickly. just reaching level 10 will make you wonder how the heck will you ever reach level 30! its hard as i said earlier and its going to get harder as one progresses. let alone those puzzles are hard to deal with one will need a FAQ. but fans of the series will not be disappointed cause they know puzzles are important part of this series. job system is good but one should not have high expectations here really. overall its a hard game but good enough to give it a try. there are quite some amount of side-quests.
Story - Nice. there are few good characters and the story is decent. well i am not going to give more details other then that it includes friendship and stuff and besides i am hardly only half way through the game. almost all the characters are good except one. this game will surprise you in terms of story in some plots. its good not as good as classic lufia but good.
Look i am hardly half way through the game, but i can safely say this is a good game. the only regrets i have is the leveling system is hard and also the party members cannot be changed. overall this game deserves a try.
