The game is a great single player experience but lacks in length.

Luigi's Mansion was released a long time ago. The story starts off with luigi winning a mansion in a contest he never entered. When he enters he finds the place is crawling with ghosts! It seems Mario is captured in the mansion somewhere which means Luigi has to save him. The way he does so is by using a vacume cleaner named the Poltergust 3000 given to him by a small professer. The gameplay gets easy very quickly. Any ghosts you see you suck'um up, find a key to unlock a door, then do it again. There are regular ghosts that are easy to take and sometimes you find special ghosts that take more time to catch. Those special ones are used to be turned into paintings! Now the controls are quite easy to master. The control stick controls Luigi. The yellow control stick controls the direction he's facing. The right trigger is used to suck. The left trigger is used to blow. (ice, water, and fire) The B button turns off his flash light. The A button is used to interact with objects such as chest or doors. I should also mention that Luigi never jumps in this game. How you catch ghosts is by stunning them with your flash light then sucking them up. They won't go down easy though! You must suck them in by pulling the control stick in the opposite direction. This is fun but it is basically all you do. The professor also gives you a special Gameboy that is used to find the special ghosts. The Mansion is where the whole game takes place. The camera is great and doesn't really screw up at all! The mansion is so huge with about three floors, an underground basement, and the roof access. The gameplay stays the same way the whole game. This isn't a problem but it could be better. The length of the game is about six to eight hours so it's not that long to beat. The music is pretty catchy and never really got on my nerves. You can hear Luigi whistle along with it during gameplay which is kinda cool. For graphics you have them on a realy good level for a Gamecube game! It's cool little things like shadows and lightning that can be just so mood setting. The game is great. I recommend renting it then if you like it like me then buy it.
