It is in intrinsic terms, a classic RPG, nothing less nothing more.
On that note, this game coherent with the Silver Star Story surmounted any other RPG on my list of personal preference. In a nutshell the story follows a boy who is destined by some divine providence to become a "Dragonmaster" and save the goddess Althena from the clutches of an evil antagonist. In Eternal Blue and a mere 1000 years afterward another hero initiates on a venture to do the same . The story becomes much more complex than that however and resembles that of a ramification; offering numerous plot twists and character developments. I want to make this clear for both games.
Now, Eternal Blue therefore offers a completely new adventure. It is in intrinsic terms, a classic RPG, nothing less nothing more. It is an enjoyable ride in which the storyline is the primary aspect designed to enthrall you; whilst the mechanics do not offer anything new to the table to which no one has ever seen and their may be no side quests or generic incentive for end game continuation. This game is thereof reliant upon nothing except its story. As the plot is brung into fruition, I feel the game compensates for this and the game progresses as such in a delightful manner.
I want to mention that the music is memorable and one of the game's strongholds.
