Dogfighting fun
Game plan is fun and frantic. This one will definitely leave your hands hurting, but you'll learn to deal with it. I put in about 70 minutes my first time playing it. I wish there were more control options. Unless I am missing something, there seems to only be a default control scheme. That's not too great, but we can't have the world, I suppose.
I think the graphics are quite good. Sound effects are fine. The sense of speed could be better, but then I guess your hands would be hurting you even more as you fight to keep up.
I'm glad to see that game sharing is offered. That's something that PSP titles fail to offer all to often. It's a good way to entice your friends into buying the game. Then you can have more options in the ad-hoc multiplayer. Game sharing only allows one track and a choice of two planes.
I look at M.A.C.H. as one of those good diversions for an hour or two. It's not a top teir title, but it's far from dirt. It's a refreshing change up to a more challenging game like Ace Combat X, and something to enjoy as I wait for the new Afterburner game to hit the PSP.
