You can not compare this too any other game it is unique and is its own genre i have never played anything quite like it

Mad dash racing is in general a good game. You are introduced at the start too an opening scene with the evil genius Dr.Hex trying to bribe all the animals into colecting meteor chunks in reward for his majic septar. Characters You have the option to be a dasher, basher or glider (my personal favourite). there is nine characters to start off with. the top row of characters are bashers. Big blue a massive monster, Betty a tom boy with a massive screw driver and last but certanily not least Chops a wart hog with a whole lot of gas. On the second row you are introduced to the dashers. Syd a punk cat, Spanx a retarted rat you might recognize from the game whiplash and Claudius a lion. The gliders i find alot more handy with zero G a hampster suffering from post traumatic war stress Ash an italian dragon and faze an insect. After completing challenges you will eventually unlock alot more characters Levels: There are exactly 9 levels all about 5 minutes long although 2 which are bosses may take a while. Abilities and items: In a race there are plenty of shortcuts which require you to have a special ability. You can identify this by seeing the symbol on top of the shortcut. for example if there was a big bolder and the bashing symbol was on top of it. You can bash through it and take the lead. Gliding is usually up a ramp and over a pit and dashing is usually up a steep ramp. It ends up working out about an even amount of shortcuts it just depends which ability you like best. In the end it dosen't really matter though as you collect green meteors on a regular basis and if you collect 10 you have all abilities. You're ability will end up running out eventually and you will ether have to do stunts or collect cans to recharge. you can also collect items as you go. You usually get them according to youre position in the race. for example the worst item is fruit which is highly common you press the Y button and you will through little bits of fruit and if the person behind you hits it they will fall and have to wait a few seconds. Another common ability which can be quite effective is the orange flag once you have it you press the y button and you will have a trail of orange following you around this can set up a trap for the person behind you who if don't jump or dodge it once again fall over and have to wait a little while. The green slime is probably the hardest to use, when you get it you hold down why and an aimer will appeear you have to try and hit someone with it. If you are losing you will get all the good items. The ice cube can be quite effective you simply press Y and everyone but yourself will freeze and will be shown a combination of buttons like AXBY this confuses your oponent and they have to quickly press this combination if they wish to procede. My personal favourite is the disco ball which you just press Y and you will be surrounded by a purple ball and are invincible to attacks and run about four time faster. The last item is the chicken which you press why and it will lock onto the nearest player and knock them down. By pressing B you will do a roll and if a person is within a certain range you will knock them over. by pressing X you will enter what i call rollerblade mode. if you hold X down you will slide but don't hold it for too long or you will spin out. This button is also used for rails if you jump and aim it right ontop of a grind poll you will have to press X and hold it down then you will grind at high speeds which is quite fun! the X button is also used to gain juice(more special powers) if you jump hold down X then make the left thumb stick do a 360 , you yourself will do a 360. the A button is just for jumping which you will do commonly. You can bounce of things high into the air you can swim and climb. Climbing invovles holding the left thumbstick foward and doing the right thumbstick in a complete cycle. This gets a little tiring after a while. You will also encounter boosts, catapults, half pipes, ramps, ring boosts and many more. It is the kind of game that has so much to explain you will just have to figure it out yourself. The controls are great and fairly simple its the technique that can take a while to master. Game types: You can play several game types but the main type is adventure which is all nine races and a fairly crummy stroy line. Versus mode is for 1-4 players. You can also do stunt mode where you have to complete a certain amount of stunts in a time limit or you can do race the clock all these modes being complete unlocks new players. Verdict: Mad dash racing is great fun and although it is aimed for children from about 8-13 it is actually quite fun and challenging and although the humour is pretty lame you may come across the odd joke that will make you chuckle. You can not compare this too any other game it is unique and is its own genre i have never played anything quite like it and for its price i highly recommend it. My 8.7 rating is only for me i love it and suggest it, it plays smooth and sounds great. It may frustrate you at times though. Hire it first and see for yourself i can't put it in words. It could have had more tracks and unlockables though.
