Almost Awesome, BUT....
We've all heard about the crashes during Franchise mode or crashing the PSP trying to go online...etc. But Im going to talk outside of that whopper of a defect. Im talking about the constant hiccups, pauses, and lack of replay that destroy the playability of this game. Yes you can turn the commentary off and reduce SOME of these annoying pauses, but that takes a way from the aspect of this being a portable Madden game. Even with commentary off, there are pauses or hiccups before each play, after each play, before a touchdown catch, sometimes even before a catch all together. Why oh why?? I honestly think EA rushed this game out the door and were fully aware of these level 1, code RED, glitchs.
So lets say you can ignore, with the patience of Job, the hiccups.
Where's the instant replay ? Well maybe thats not possible for EA to do on a portable game....except Burnout which came out BEFORE Madden has a beautiful replay system on its CRASH mode.. hmmm, and those often are longer than most plays in Madden anyway. I think EA shot them selves in the foot by not adding atleast a 2 second replay. ANYTHING would have been better than nothing. Too many corners were cut in the production of this game and to boot, EA bought up the NFL rights which makes them the only game company that can give us football league games. Now given that fact, don't you think they should have done better?
I recently took an long flight across the country and with the constant loads and hiccups, I found this game completely unplayable. Thank god I had burnout, wipeout, & FIFA to play.
Shame on you EA sports, with the exclusive rights to the NFL in your pockets, you owe us a much better football game experience. I feel they should either offer new updated versions of this game or give full refunds, as economically unfeasable as that is. Thus because of that, I rate this game 5.6 out of 10.
