EA is rebuilding Madden from the ground up and it shows in this initial next-gen version. It was rushed out to make the 360 launch without Owner Mode or Mini-Camp. To make matters worse, the frame rate is choppy, the players are squatty, and the gameplay is stiff and slow. Animations are missing. On the positive side, the playcalling menus are very cool and intuitive. An actual improvement over the current gen title.
Casual fans may find this edition to be acceptable because it is flashy and sorta feels like Madden on the surface but true fans will immediately notice this is a lame duck and will go right back to the current gen.
I think EA is putting it's focus into 07 (I hope.)
