For all new hype of the superstar mode, added qb vision to have a more realistic feel, madden '06 seemed to lose a little in the "just lets have fun and play a football game". I thought this game would countinue its countless streak of amazing upgrades when i first got it but it went a little downhill. The graphics are a little better than '05 as it should be, and the defensive system is pretty much the same which i like a lot. However i didnt like the change of controls from madden '05. I have been playing madden on ps2 since it came out and the controls are so 2nd nature to me now that when i play '06 i have to go to options and change the controls to the '05 controls option. Madden '06 set itself up for failure by even offering that though. I guess they should have forced me to learn the new controls but oh well. Anyway Franchise is the same but thats not a bad thing i love franchise mode, but the new superstar mode kind of sucks. You basically build a player from birth based on genes from different fathers and mothers and take that player through his career and the team becomes 2nd in order of importance. The thing that sucks is that you can't even pick your team (if im not mistaken). So the first time i made a player and went through the draft i got picked by dallas. I dont like dallas at all. I am sure this happens to other people all the time. So i hit reset and did it again. Then after the first few games i just quit and went back to franchise. Too many practices for superstar too. Besides that..its your regular madden..enjoy
A good football game, good offensive plays, and good defensive plays. The QB vision adds some realistic gameplay to this game, but it isn't the best. The best part of this game for me is seeing and hearing the crunches a... Read Full Review
