I am shocked by anyone who gives this game a good review. The game itself is fine other than the fact it is nearly identical to the 06 version. The graphics, commentary, controls, even the Tony Bruno show is all exactly as it was. I enjoyed last year's game quite a bit and played it well past new year's, but I can't imagine I will bother much past checking out the off season stuff that has been added this year. Usually when the new Madden comes out there is a little bit of an adjustment and you have a tough couple games figuring out the timing of things and what not, but my first game was just like the last one on 06, a demolishing of the madden difficulty. In a nutshell you are much better off sticking with 06 as there really isn't that much new here to offer. I liked the old days with NFL 05 or whatever the last year was of that when it forced EA to come up with some competitive additions. Now that they own the market it's really started to lower their ambition level. Gamespot can blame it on the end of this generation of systems or whatever, but this is simply unacceptable to repackage 06 and gouge us 50 bucks.
I like madden 07, its pretty good. It is worth buying. The worst part about it is, in Madden 06 you can pick your plays in SuperStar mode, but in Madden 07 you can't, you can only run the plays your QB calls. That is my ... Read Full Review
