Madden's "selling out" and "checking out" for current gens...

User Rating: 4.2 | Madden NFL 07 PS2
$49 is a lot to pay for roster updates...

I really wished the folks over at EA would have improved the graphics (players, stadium) for the gamers instead of adding shameless advertizing. That's selling-out...

Now, to "checking out"... Over at EA, they basically took Madden '03 graphics with the little '05 "hit stick" feature, '06 "vision cone" feature... add a little new feature for running/blocking and voila! Madden '07 is made. What we're paying is pretty much for the development of next gen versions since so little though/improvement/work was made over the past three seasons.

BTW, after playing mini camp and won like 6 gold cards in various levels, the game froze after winning a gold... had to restart and lose all my unlocked cards... That's only after 20 hours of gameplay. How did this game ingnore this bug?

Couple of cool features they should try for next year:
- pick whichever attributes you want to increase for a player
- ability to import your own songs (instead of forcing us to listen to crap)
- enhance the intro to a game, injuries (maybe have staff run to the field and replay with commentaries)
- for halftime and at the end of the game, see the "highlights" replays with commentaries.
- kill the tony bruno show... it's getting very, very old...
- all players talk about how the game "slows down" when they're in the zone... why don't you try to add that feature where you can tell your player to do something/go somewhere in that "slow mo" time
- have a "momentum" gauge. This really has an impact on the players' awareness
- finally, when you win the Superbowl, you'd better have a super cool animation/movie showing what the Team has done to get there, identify MVP's of the Team and maybe unlock a "making of Madden - behind the scenes" or some Team cards.

all of this to say to EA: do some work and make the NFL and gamers proud instead of re-purpusing/re-packaging the same old (but groundbreaking) Madden '03.
