I've been on the anti-Madden bandwagon since the next-gen. The games just lost what made them fun to play. I couldn't even bring myself to complete one season of Madden 09. It was just kind of boring. I didn't feel like I had the same control over the on field play like the PS2 version. Well they have finally changed that. I had a blast playing through 5 franchise season games. There are some graphical glitches where the screen fills to a solid color. Usually, this will work itself out when the screen changes. There are times however when I've had to switch to the instant replay and come back to reset the screen.
Even with it's flaws I'd take this Madden over the previous 4. It really is a great football game. Gamespot, I'm not sure where a 7.5 came from when last year they hyped 09 like crazy. Madden 09 was one of the worst football games I've played once you stripped the visuals.
