You could go as far to say that, during development, the studio simply watched The Godfather and played some GTA IV and then got down to designing the game.
Because this game is so story driven I feel that more origonality would have created a better game.
Now, I don't have many complaints and the best parts of this game are the gunfights and the graphics/physics engine. They really work well together and sometimes you feel so immersed in this game that you forget that you arn't actually living in the 50s.
If you feel like shooting people and experiencing the 50s, this game will be great for you. Just don't watch Shawshank Redemption before you play it.
