This game is stunning, and was a delight to play and it's epic.
The look of this game is amazing in standard and High definition, the detail of this game's made up city of Empire Bay was absolutely breath taking, every little detail of Mafia 2 is done great as far as I made out nothing looked pasted on like I have seen in some games. The setting of the late 40's and early 50's is stunning the guys at 2k CZECH really did well on their home work for the look for this era.
Audio:
The audio for this game is also amazing, from the sounds of the cars, to all the street sound all round you in the is great atmosphere, the voice acting in this games was amazing I know one of the voice actors were from The Soprano's and some others i could not figure out were they were from but I know they were all from the typical wise guy's movie's and t.v shows, and the music really set the tone of game while driving and when doing the missions it just went right with game.
Game play:
The game play for Mafia 2 is well amazing, like it does feel like something is missing, but you won't care in less you really need that free roam multiplayer and death-match and team death-match stuff, but even with out all that stuff it's great you can chip away at most of the cover if one of your enemies are behind it so you can get him in his knee cap that will get expose then get that head shot or body shot. The story is about 10 to 12 hours long on one play through on normal, I could tell you more about the game play put I might give away some spoilers. Oh I almost forgot that I also felt it was missing co-op play because their are some mission's that are done with at least one or two NPC which could've been one of your buddies playing along side of but that just me.
Overall:
I think it's worth the buy, but if you are not sure then rent it, but it's worth checking out. This game just felt really polished and I personally enjoyed playing I had a blast with this game.
