If Mafia doesn't get you in the Gangster Business, then I don't know what will.

User Rating: 8.5 | Mafia II PS3
In 2004, Mafia was a bitter sweet concept but a memerable one at that. In it's sequal Mafia 2, it is the better in than Mafia. It's third person shooter keeps you running to cover more often as you get surrounded by guys who wants to kill you. You sneak around to avoid getting spotted. And the car chases and following missions wants you to do it in a certain way. As the game progresses, you can pin-point exactly what is in the game and what's not.

Good-Songs are within the time period this games setting was set, the guns sound good, the law is more strick Than other games where if you go 60 in a 40 MPH street, them cops are gonna get you. The story is also dramatic and satifying, but nothing can be better than playing the character that killed the first games character adding a twist in that story.

Bad-There is so much going on at once that on the hardest difficulty you die more times than get to the next area. You can't talk to people freely. The laws are way too strick. The game mostly has you following a straight path so you can never go out exploring during day time. The Achievements are so much boring, like I beat the whole game doing this, but when I saw that DLC was required, I gave up. You go through way too many enemy spawns points that it adds more to the game time than in real time. There are some late texture popins. And it's cliffhanger ending makes my think of Halo 2.

Although this game wasn't the best, but I would pop it in anytime, Just can't wait to see Mafia 3.
Final score: 8.5 good game, above average.
