The best thing about this game to me would definatly have to be the storyline. It is filled with unbelievable gamplay that can be intense at times. Sure the graphics may not be top-notch, but all the same the game still has great potential. And the graphics aren't that much to complain about in the first place, especialy for a 2004 game. Also the fast paced action keeps you very addicted to this game.

However, despite some of the recent pros, there are things that you will notice that are very frustrating. Such as the tediously long loading times, and the slugish, slow vehicles. You also lose chunks of your health at a time. But the whole theme of the game really captures the time period, and makes you feel like a badass mobster. Overall, mafia is a great game and will leave you looking forward to the sequel like me!
