A solid improvement on the original campaign

User Rating: 9.5 | Magic Carpet: The Hidden Worlds PC
The original Magic Carpet's campaign was rather sporadic in terms of quality of level design and difficulty. The hidden worlds expansion manages to strike a happy medium between the level of challenge and interesting level design. The challenge level is more constant in this outing; a fair bit more difficult than Magic Carpet II but not as fustrating as some sections as in the original game.

It can be worth your time to play the original game up until the dreaded mana genies turn up and steal a select few of your spells before each new mission just to get you up to speed on the gameplay mechanics.

The only real downside is that there is no real new content. It can be recommended to players who gave up on the original campaign or general magic carpet fans who crave more of the same (with a more refined design)
