Magic Ball PS3 downloadable game.
This version, however, is in 3-D. For $9.99 you get 48 levels in two episodes (24 levels per episode).
Episode 1 has pirates, ships, islands, sharks, booty and some other things you can destroy. There are a variety of power-ups available. The levels get progressively more difficult, but all 24 are fun to play.
Episode 2 is medievel times with knights, princesses, horses, dragons and castles. The levels in this episode lack imagination. Many of the levels appear designed to discourage the player. They have the path completely blocked, save one hole large enough to fit the ball though. For a game based on a point system, it seems odd to have so many levels that have you bouncing the ball around with no scoring possibilities until you find the small entrance. I think the designer(s) forgot that games are supposed to be fun and not aggrivating.
Episode 3 ($2.99 additional) is a halloween theme. It's better than episode 2 but also has many levels that suffer blocked passages that force you bounce the ball for awhile with no scoring.
I can understand wanting to add some challenges, but there are other ways. If you decide to check this one out just be prepared for some frustration down the line. It's guaranteed.
I just hope if they release new episodes they will at least try to put challenges in a more creative way than just simply blocking your path.
It's worh the $9.99 even if you just replay episode 1 over and over, but you'd have more fun pulling out your teeth with a pair of pliers than playing through episodes 2 & 3.
I rate this game a 5 simply because of episode 1.
Bottom line is it's fun for awhile, then the frustration drains the fun away. Get used to two words...GAME OVER.
