I'm first and foremost a turn base strategy kind of guy. Then also a MTG fan. It took some forum searching and sticky reading to get everything running smooth. For example still problems with full screen mode, windowed mode does wonders.

The price of in game currency and boosters are a bit steep. The thing that really hooked me was the campaigns. It costs 5$ for the 500 station credits to buy the next campaign. For that price you receive 5 missions with a card and a lot of xp as a reward for completing each mission. After you complete the 5 mission for the campaign you receive a permanent daily quest that you can do each day for a little xp and 2 gold. So I see it more as an investment.

Now gold is the in game currency with which you buy and sell on the auction house or pay to join tournaments. If have already bought 3 of the campaigns so I can steadily bring in 6 gold per day. Most common cards cost 6 – 10 gold, uncommon 15 – 30 gold. So with a bit of patience and daily quest I have already build up a nice deck and also spend 12 skill points already in my skill trees.

The tactical part of the game reminds me of Heroes of Might and Magic. Creatures each have initiative points that determine who goes first, movement points, atk, hp, range. Also flanking maneuvers where you get bonus damage and critical hits.

I have been waiting a long time for a game like this and it hits the right spot for me.
