Long loads and awkward battles make this game uncomfortable to play

Magna Carta looks great, but don't be fooled by the screenshots.

There are two problems with this game and they are unnecessarily long load times, and a very awkward battle system.

The loading time is just horrible. I cannot believe how much time is wasted to just waiting for the game to load from screen to screen. If you are traveling around town and go into another part, the wait could be up to 20-30 seconds. This is true for every aspect of the game. At any point, you probably have to wait 20-30 seconds for no reason. Also, this isn't infrequent. It's not like you play 1 hour before coming across a long load. I mean it is after every simple thing (for example after fighting a random battle or traveling a town/map). I mean I understand patience, but there is a limit to this.

As for the awkward battle system, you will spend roughly 8-10 minutes per battle and you will probably only use one character and you will probably only gain a very small amount of EXP. It's not hard, it's just so awkward that you fear just fighting a random battle. The trinity drive system (which I won't explain) is very good and if you played Shadow Hearts, you got some idea with what it is. Personally, I have no problem with the trinity drive and I like it. It's just the fact that the battles are so long and unbearable. You could spend a few hours just to travel a very small map. I mean this is so ridiculous, I can only play the game for an hour before I have to turn it off.

All in all, the story is great for Magna Carta. You will fall in love with the characters and you will be interested in the story. However, the load times and awkward battle system will make you think twice before deciding to play this game.
