For the past 5 years I have been playing MLB The Show, 08-10 on the PS3 and 06-08 (Part of the year for 08) on the PS2, and to be honest, the game has not changed. MLB 2k5 was a pretty good game, some flaws, yes, but an overall good experience. Flash-Forward to MLB 2k 11, I was going to buy MLB The Show 11, but after the aweful demo, Erik Karros anyone?, I decided to give 2k 11 a chance, the franchise is deeper than The Show, the analog pitching is much better and the analog swinging seems more responsive than The Show, I know being a PS3 owner, I'm suppose to be bias towards the 2k series, but this year, I am bias towards The Show. I do own 2k10 for the PC and I thought it was a very good game, the flaws were there, but I have always thought the 2k series was a very Franchise deep game, and thats what I'm here for, the depth, not the flashy graphics or the customized music, it was nice, but without proper game balance, the game just seems dead this year. If you are looking for a deep experience then 2k11 should not disappoint. I am not 'dogging on The Show', I was just looking for a change this year, and the sloppy analog controls, combined with the aweful commentary of The Show, I felt that this was a good time for a change. 2k Baseball is back. and for the first time in 5 years, I think it is better than The Show.

I love baseball so I bought both 2k11 and the show 11. By far the show is the better game. no doubt about it. Better graphics, better animations, more fine tuning and higher production values. But... 2k is alot more fun... Read Full Review
