ESPN is one of the most visually stunning and one of the most realistic sports games I have ever played.

I am a huge fan of baseball games. Last year, with MVP, I was so surprised at how realistic these games have gotten (I had not gotten a baseball game in at least two years). I was under the impression that I would definately buy MVP this year too. But unfortunately, due to money issues, I got this game instead. I'm actually glad I chose this game over MVP. I looked at the screenshots for MVP, and there was no difference in how the game looked and played. I looked at this, and it was an enormous jump up from last year. The graphics are amazing. It's equivilent of Halo 2 and Splinter Cell, but it's a sport game. The game is very fun and exciting to play. I like the batter guess feature (which lets you chose where you want your batter to swing). Pitching is not as easy, but that's a good thing. You must connect the dots for good accuracy. Bad connecting results in a hitter's pitch in which he will most likely smash out of the park. A bad thing about this game is the constant playing of ESPN's annoying soundtrack. It gets on my nerves from time to time. A good thing is the commentary, but they don't talk about as many things as they do in MVP, but they go more in depth. I think this was a way for the ESPN baseball series to go out with a bang (because EA bought the company that makes these games, so there won't be ESPN games for at least five years *sob*), and it's definately worth the $20. Every baseball fan will be astonished by this game because it's one of the best I've seen.
