It is understandable that baseball is a sport that you can either love or find boring. This game might be just what it takes to get you into the sport a little bit more if you didn't already like it. With many game modes to choose from, the franchise mode seems to be the best. It doesn't stand out from the franchise mode on other sports games but it definitely brings an high level of entertainment. My personal favourite thing about mlb 2k9 is playing my friends. Winning or losing it's always a good time. The faults that i found in the game are the online is laggy (could be due weak connection or servers not sure) and sometimes you can't throw the ball fast enough to make quick plays. Besides that it's great, it's the closest thing you will get to feel like your playing baseball in a video game. The swinging and pitching are controlled by the analog stick, which brings a more entertaining approach then the classic "press x" to swing.
