This game is amazingly fun for anyone with a interest in baseball. It's a very easy game to pick up and play and you'll even be treated to Ken Griffey Jr. rapping (If you can call it that) "Home Home Homey G" at the menu screen! The voice acting by Ken Griffey Jr. is hilariously bad.. if you nail someone with a pitch Ken Griffey Jr. will say "Ouch that hurts" in the most unenthusiastic, half-assed tone you'll ever hear in a video game. Ok I'm done talking about the hilarity that is Ken Griffey Jr's voice contributions to the game. Overall this is a very fun and easy game. Hitting is very simple, unlike most baseball games out nowadays, you actually have a circle showing where you are swinging. The better the hitter you use the bigger the circle is. Basically if you are using, say, Mike Piazza (this game was released during his prime) you have a gigantic circle to show where you will swing, this means you'll have a easy job making contact with the ball. This game is absolutely a blast for anyone interested in baseball but has some flaws. One of the most noticeable flaws is how easy it is to pitch. I used to throw the same pitch throughout the whole game... curveball on the lower corner, and I got about 20-25 strikeouts a game. It's too easy to be a ace at pitching in this game. There are a few less noticeable flaws to the game, none that should discourage you from picking it up (if you still use a N64 that is).
Overall it's a very fun baseball game and if you have any interest in baseball you'll probably love it.
