Amazing game.

Makai Kingdom was made in a hurry, however it's freakin' madness! Graphically it's a significant downgrade from Disgaea or even Phantom Brave but there is so much more to it. This game is so amusing with it's story line alone, freaking funny stuff! Voice acting and sound track in this game is top notch. Theres a ton of special characters to get outside of the massive army. Most of them being actual Overlords you encounter in the game. The control system is free movment much like Phantom Brave, only it's GREATLY improved allowing you to control where your character goes manually. This is the first NIS game and possibly only, to include the utilization of both Bases and vehicles. From motor cycles to giant space ships this game pushes the limits of crazyness. New weapon types and units not seen in any other NIS game as well really off the wall stuff. The main story line isn't long enough, but I heard they had to put a wrap on it quickly. However theres a ton of endings and side quests to do and the usual random dungeons. Only they are bigger and badder than ever! Especially since the maps actually expand several times if you keep pushing it. Unlike all the other games you don't HAVE to eliminate every enemy unit. After you get enough points you're allowed to choose to ditch a stage or keep going. And if you get in over your head you can always bail later after that point. And this game is just packed with characters you'll just love! Screw Laharl, I want to see Zetta in his body in future cameos. The random dungeons can become really hard to survive through don't make the mistake of thinking you can go all melee like in Disgaea, it doesn't end pretty.
